Now ok so here’s a funny thing, I was talking to a bhen ji about how within Punjabi culture women aren’t allowed to embrace their divinity. That the majority Punjabi males are threatened by it and encourage their wives and daughters to just get stuck with in the world, rather than to wear bana or be blessed with taking Amrith.

Now here is a strange thing which is happening with in the Panth these days, a lot of the kids/Youth have a strong pull to Guru JI , which is the exact opposite of the parents. The Kids have more gyaan and pyaar for Sikhi and for Guru Ji maharaj. Youth actually want to Chuk amrit and wear Bana. I’m talking about families in which the parents, are so in to Punjabi culture, such as partying with the other uncles and aunties, lots of alcohol, and a lot of meat =) . Eventually down the road they’ll embrace Sikhi… or so they tell their kids and their nagging soul/consciousness…

Now that’s the thing when the parents find out their children are more in to sikhi than they are, they are puzzled and they think “hai Hai kee hoyea? Ehni Bastee de Ghal hoye gha Jadho Mayra Puthra/Bheti Sikhi vich jagea , May Guru Ji dhey paas nahi hai? Ay Casa hoeya? Patha Nahe?” so in English they think “Oh God? How did this happen? Now my Honour is at stake? How did my Son/Daughter get in to sikhi? I’m not in to sikhi that much or hardly how did this happen I just don’t get it?

So you a woman’s psyche is 16x stronger than a males, in every single facet a woman is stronger, more intutative, more agile, more graceful, more smarter, she is just the embodiment of SHakti of God’s creativity , there is no Doubt to that!..

Ok so now here is the thing, IN a lot of punjabi households, not all , there are exceptions… but majority of cases when a punjabi female is married to a Punjabi male, and she has the strong desire to embrace her divinity, and she asks her husband that she wants to get in to sikhi, but the Punjabi male declines it. Or she has a lot of karma with her husband and get in fights and such. So then she turns to Guru JI Maharaj and starts reading a lot of bani, tons of Jap JI and Sukhmani Sahib, the veeraag comes with in her and she wants to embrace sikhi, but she knows she can’t.

So where does that Pyaar and Prem for Rabh go? That strong devotion to the Lord go? Simple it just gets to gets engraved in to her psyche and aura, also it just stay in her center of creativity, her womb…. Thus it just stays there.. so now when the Fetus is maturing with in her womb … there are Souls, very divine souls which are coming from Sach Khand, who are sent be by the Earth’s pleas for saving Humanity and this world.. like this benti which Guru Amar Daas states in Gurbani….

Shabd

So after 120 days the soul enters the fetus, not just any soul but a soul of a shaheed, a soul of a sant, a soul of a sihpahi, a soul of rabh’s pyaara, just a bhagat of God….. a soul of consciousness…

OK so now looking at the panth, why are the kids in to sikhi and the parent’s aren’t. well 23 years ago Harminder Sahib was attacked, so when Darbar Sahib and the panth were under attack, Oh the mothers woke up and Brothers and Sisters and Husband woke up from the slumber and started praying for the safety of the Akal Takath.

Now you say oh what bout the older ones, that simple lol in 78 there was the nirankaari massacre, also umm ever since partition , umm Sikhs have taken interest with in sikhi =)

Hope I did not offend anyone, and I hope it made sense and something to think about

January 24th, 2008when opportunity knocks…

I’ve had an interesting past couple of days.  it started about a couple of days backi was’t to sure where i was headed but i knew that i was dur to have some change.  As of right now i’m in a CIA information session at my school.  earlier this week i got an e-mail from my school, telling me that a couple of representative from teh Central Intelligence Agency would be coming to our schools. They wanted to recruit some Graduate students who had some fluency within  (Mandarin Chinese for China specialists, Arabic or Farsi for the Middle East, or Urdu or Hindi for South Asia), and some travel or residency in the region are highly desired.

i wasnt too sure whether or not the CIA was for me.  But then again I just thought what the heck.

Then later that day, i remembered that my program required me to have an internship.  My first thoughts went to Sikhnet & Sikh Dharma Intl.
I wound up calling some people, and with Guru Ram Daas’ grace.    It looks like, as of today,  i’m spending the summer in espanola, nm =) I also met with the CIA representatives, it went fairly well.  It was definitely Guru JI’s mercy that i was in bana and met with them, with the full confidence, knowing Guru Ji was with me.  It was rather interesting because i thought they would have been weirded because i wasn’t wearing a tie or have the proper shoes.
it was rather sweet and amazing. Once again its wasn’t my looks rather it was my solid projection and firmness with in myself.

now i just have to find a place to live in espanola.. for the summer.

January 12th, 2008interesting time at gurudwara

i had quite the interesting time at gurudwara tonight.  It was pretty funny, earlier this afternoon, i realized that there would be sangat at guru ghar.  Then I wasn’t too sure whether or not i should go or not.  Then Guru Nam Singh Ji, said its sangat you should def go.  So somehow i made to Roswell gurdwara in 20  mins.  So it was rougly 5 minutes before 7pm but everything was dark.  Then i called up cheenu didi, on what i should do, then she gave me the code for the key… and told me to go ahead do parkash of Guru Ji maharaj, So it was quite interesting, and amazing that Guru Ji blessed me with that seva =) i’m so not worthy anyways.  So ardaas, parkaash, and hukam, were finished around 7:15, still i was not too sure what else to do, nor was i sure what time sangat would be arriving.  So then Guru Ji  told me to do Sukhmani Sahib Paath (More Info about the bani).  so there i was all alone in guru ka ghar…. reading sukhmani sahib paath from Guru Ji maharaj =) wasn’t actually to sure where in Guru Ji maharaj the bani started.  So i just asked guru ji to lead me to the proper page…. I had an inkling that it was some where in the mid 200′s.  Then as i turned the angs of Guru Ji to that area i saw this…

picture-3.jpg

Oh the words of Baba Sri Chand Ji =) hehe well the transliteration is a bit off… its Hai Bhaay Sach Nanak Hosee Bhaay Sach =) anyways so then it was such a blessed feeling that Guru Ji led me to that Salok… Yogi Bhajan explained in one of his lectures about the story between Guru Arjan Dev Ji and Baba Sri Chand  Ji =).  How Guru Arjan Dev Ji had a bit of writer’s block, and asked Baba Sri Chand to help him with this, then Baba Sri Chand denied stating “That this is Guru Ji’s Bani, who am i?” Guru Arjan Dev Ji then replies ” No this (bani) belongs to the house of Guru Nanak, and you are his son! thus this you are a part of this too, you have to help me”  Then Baba Sri Chand started reciting the Aad Sach Jugad Sach Hai bhaee Sach Nanak Hosee Bahee Sach…

Then Yogi Bhajan explains that the difference between bhaee sach and Bee sach, is simple,  the Bhaee Sach means that “What ever block you have in life will be broken through and all grace shall come to you, as if it was gushing down a waterfall. ” =)

so back to my time at gurdwara there I was reading Sukhmani sahib, 45 mins in i reached the 10th pauree still no sangat, wondering what i should do… a family comes in and see that i’m the only one they do maatha (bow) and then they continue on with there nightly plans.  so then right as i say Bhalla bhalla tera roop sundar…. nirmal nirmal tayree bani…. sangat starts coming in =)

it was so awesome i actually took some interesting photos of guru ji with the wide angle lens too.  I’ll be sure to post them up =)

its getting late now either to sleep or start on sadhana =) maybe a quick catnap… anyways                        many blessings and stay blessed =)

January 7th, 2008Listening…

so yesterday someone was playing this shabd in espanola sangat…..

t(h)aakur binathee karan jan aaeiou ||
O my Lord and Master, Your humble servant has come to offer this prayer.

sarab sookh aana(n)dh sehaj ras sunath thuhaaro naaeiou ||1|| rehaao ||
Hearing Your Name, I am blessed with total peace, bliss, poise and pleasure. ||1||Pause||

it was really amazing.  Now i was reading the shabad last night, and i kept on looking over it…. some how the whole time about these english translations of Bani tend to really irk me… especially how Naam apparently means Name?  this is not the case.  Naam means one’s own divinity or divine quality.  Hence punjabi/gurmukhi names aren’t really names but rather one’s divine quality… It makes sense Siri Singh Sahib  utilized  this hence his students were given names like Sat Shabd (True Sound) and other names….anyways getting too off topic ok so here in this shabd the Translation says “Hearing your Name , i am blessed with peace…”so i looked and i couldn’t find “naam” then i started chanting the words of the shabd then it hit my upside the head… if you say sunath really long you get the words “Sun” and “naath” or Naad sun means to listen where naad means sound current.           so anhaath shabad, there are so many shabds with these words, and then people ask “Why do you sikhs bow to this book?” “oh we sikhs, worship this holy book, its the sikh bible we bow too!”          freaking idiot! all of you  now i’m not going to curse instead i’m going to quote siri singh sahib from this lecture… How to create that energy when there’s not time? That is why father of this nation, Guru Gobind Singh, the real father, established Siri Guru Granth as the Guru for the Sikhs. He didn’t give you holy book. It is a damn lie! It is a rotten untruth! Those who called Siri Guru Granth a “Holy Book of the Sikhs,” are stupidly ignorant! It’s not! It’s a living process, a Guru! Organic!    -Siri Singh Sahib Bhai Sahib Harbhajan Singh Khalsa Yogi Ji lecture 09/18/1988  LA,  How the Guru Granth SAhib Works…   Now you may wonder how in the world is Living Guru a Organic Process? This Shabad Guru allows us to hear the anhaath sahad, the unheard sound.    in the shabad it says

sarab sookh aana(n)dh sehaj ras sunath thuhaaro naaeiou ||1|| rehaao ||                                          Hearing Your Name, I am blessed with total peace, bliss, poise and pleasure. ||1||Pause||

That by listening to my own divinity, experience my subtly i am able to experience bliss and peace.  also this bani is able to cut through one’s ego… it just does it so many times guru ji says it, even in Asa Di Vaar Guru Ji says,

                              ”Haumai Shabd Jalai”

                    ”The Shabd Cut/Burn my ego”

also i know another controversy is how come American/3ho Sikhs dont’ read their banis and do yoga for their sadhana… its simple, if you look at the psyche/bloodline of a punjabi sikh, and trace their ancestry majority of them 6-8 generations back, where in punjab, thus someone in their family had to have direct contact with Guru Ji… whether it was by passing or sangat or something… even if they weren’t sikh back then but it was still there… thus the subtly was still there too, where as an american person of european descent wasn’t that fortunate, thus the subtly wasn’t there, thus by doing yoga they are able to clean/cleanse their physical body, mental body (conscious and sub-conscious) and soul….

then when they read bani they will be able to fully experience it…
