As the 40th post day of White tantric
drew to an end
Issues from the past
arose deeply with in me
For i’ve thought these issues were settled
Apparently i was mistaken
Now i have to confront how to handle
This sense of Shakti which is trying to awaken
The Shakta with in me…
oh how easily has my father
Kalgidhar Vale
Guru Gobind Singh Ji
Blessed us with such Banis
In order to have this shakti we crave
Oh how my soul yearns for this
But still it appears i do not know
what to do, as the Balance of East and West
Place me with in my Ego’s
Desires which may needed
in order to be create a strong foundation
Grounding in any relationship
Yet now this whole play
A rises with in me guilt
of what have i done…
could it be that my lack
of display of affection could have caused
Oh my beloved i still am not too sure
The Guilt tries to consume…
Oh my beloved Mahakal
May you give me your hand
And destroy this Guilt which is rendering
my Ardhana and Sadhana to you
May your Anath Roop Anaahd Bani of Akaal
Cut through the Duality of me
May your Massive Khanda cut through all
the Negativity which surrounds my subconscious
I call upon….
Oh Sri bhagauti ji and Pritim Bhagauti Ji
Sri Nanak Dey Lai
Phir Angand Amardaas
Ramdaas Hoi Sahee
Arjaan Hargobind nu Sri Har Rai
Sri Har Krishan Diaeya
Jis ditthay Sabh Dukh Jai
Tegh Bhadhur Simraya Ghar Nu Nid Aeeya Pai
Dhan Dhan Sri Gobind Singh Ji Kalgidhar Vale
Khanday Bhattay Di Phul Vale
Dhan Dhan Sri Davasay Atam Saroop
Sri Granth SAhib Ji di Guru Ji di
I call upon yea all to break these bonds
which keep me in shackled with maya
Oh Mahakala, just destroy my doubts
Let me stay in your sanctuary
Jo Kushia Naal
Jakaraa Gavvvayha
Nihaal Oh Javaay
Kalgidhar Maan Diavhay
Singhaa Nihaanga Bungha
Jo Boley Sonay Haal
Sat Sri AkaaaaaaaaaaL
Gur Bar Akal!!!
Note Akaal means the undying and Jakaraa means a call of victory…. or a quick prayer
before doing a task usually dangerous, or odds are placed against them
yet still at the end they were victorious
For calling upon the Sat Sri Akal, the Highest Undying truth
Which is complete elimination of one’s ego and sense of attachment and duality of this world
They are able to connect to Waheguru,
Yet to me the Anhaad Roop of Akaaal simply means “Oh God, may you use your awesomeness and grace and KILL ALL MY
all my neurosis destructive behavior and habits which prevent me from seeing You
seeing you in everything,
may you bless me, with how Guru Ram daas write in So Purakh Paath
Har Appay Thakur Har Apaary Sevak Ji
Oh You are the Master and You are the Servant…
Bhull Chuk Mafi Daas
At winter solstice, Deva Singh Khalsa and Gurujot Singh Khalsa (Espanola Vale) were telling about the practices of Aghoras. The whole point their bizarre and taboo rituals is to find God in everyone and everything, regardless how disturbing the practice or sadhana is. now i was not too sure, but it intrigued me so i went on Amazon and found the book here. I usually read this book on the MARTA transit, when i’m going to and coming back from school. This book is so amazing, and the practices of aghoris are quite interesting and shockingly similar to Sikhi…. Now this is where i’m going to have to make sure i do not put my foot in my mouth.
If i offend anyone, i apologize now.So i am going to be as graceful as i can be. imagine you have a coin and you have Sikhi/Kundalini Yoga on one side then you have Aghora/Kundalini Yoga on the other side.. Ok so the Aghoris have really bizare practices to say it lightly, such as cannibalism and use of freshly dead corpses in their sadhana… i am pretty sure many of you have seen the film “Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom” there Amrish Puri’s character is praying to Kali, saying “Kali Maa Shakti Dey” granted Speilberg was trying to dramatize it..in the book the author talks about his guru who has mastered this quick and dangerous sadhana to get Kali to come to him…..
Now here is the thing that is going to get me in real trouble. Ok another name of Shiva, is Mahakala, The Great Destroyer, because he is the embodiment of Shakta (male energy), Shakti is the female creative energy of the Universe, where Shakta is male side of that energy… Ok so when you read Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s bani, with in Sri Dasam Granth Ji Di, he speaks about this greatness of the Goddess Chandi/Durga/Indra in Bani/Ballad with in Durga Di Vaar/Chandi Di Vaar. Guru Gobind Singh Ji maharaj refers to Waheguru as Mahakal , if you read Akal Ustat with the couple of paurees before Choupai sahib di paath, Maharaj refers to Mahakal. Then further with in the granth, also with in a Nihaang Gutka, there is a bani called Dhumalla Di Salokh,
with in his salokh Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj wrote about the significance of the dhumalla and how it came with in Sikhi. The saakhi goes that one day Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj asked the sangat is there anyone out there who knows the roop of Mahakal? so for two week Akaali Nihaang Baba Fateh Singh Ji, the youngest sahibzadia, , went in to samadhi for two weeks, he did an ardaas (prayer) to Waheguru to get the roop of Mahakal. So with in his deep meditation , Baba Fateh Singh Ji saw 25 Shaheed Singhs, with huge Dhumallas, and with in their dhumallay they had Chand and Toras (Crescent moon khandas) also with chakkars and amazing amounts of shastaars as well. Another which was added was the Farla, which is the extra fabric which is on top of a Farladhari Nihaang.
So when Akaali Baba Fateh Singh Ji went to Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, he told him that his is the roop of Mahakal. from that they forth Guru Gobind Singh ji maharaj made it that he would bless any of his Singhs with Farla if they displayed vast amounts of knowledge also if they were generals as well. Its a very high honour to be blessed with a Farla…. so back to how this relates to the book i was reading… about the aghoras, ok so any Nihaang Singh, who is Farladhari or Farla Vale, his title is Mahakaal, which means not that they are literally God, how ever they have the roop of Mahakal. or technically Mahakaal means the “Great Destroyer” now during war this was rather important thing to have to have that awesome energy of Shakta , Akal Purakh’s to cut through one’s own doubts and attachments to this world and just to stay present with inthe moment and live in that harmony of the Shakti and Shakta.
now how are sikhs the flipside of aghoris is simple we both have pratices, which are made to kill one’s ego and to find union with mahakal. Both groups worship Mahakaal, Death, in the sense of the death of one’s own duality and dependence upon maya, and just coming to the realization that we are all impermanent beings and Mahakaal is the ultimate power that we have to realize.
